OGREEN, as a used cooking oil (UCO) collection operator, operates in compliance with the current legal framework under the new Waste Management Regime (Decree-Law No. 102-D/2020, of December 10). Among its activities, the company collects and temporarily stores UCO to facilitate its recovery, primarily for the biofuel industry, thus promoting the circular economy.
In this regard, OGREEN is authorized by the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA) and licensed by the Directorate-General for Food and Veterinary (DGAV) under registration No. 8161 as an entity qualified for handling, storing, and forwarding UCO for recovery as an animal by-product.
OGREEN’s production unit is registered in SIPACE (under the SPA Regulation).
